When you reach your destination, there’s no need to choose the very first parking spot you find. Take a while to select the easiest spot possible in your desired parking area. The available space should be at least one and a half times the length of your car.

Position Yourself Properly 

Starting from the correct position will make the rest of the procedure far easier. To begin, bring your car precisely parallel with the forward parked car with a two or three-foot gap between you and the parked car.

Check Your Mirrors Carefully

Before reversing, check each mirror with care to ensure there are no approaching vehicles or pedestrians. Also, make sure your side view and rearview mirrors are in the correct position.

Finally, shift into forward gear and bring your car into a centered position between the two other vehicles. Adjust as required to get parallel to the curb.
