If our first option had a little too much flair, then try our next place. Focused on the tried and true classics the Edison Diner serves up all the essential diner fare we all love and expect. Locals highly recommend the home fries. And we can’t disagree. It’s also a great spot for lunch, dinner, and for your late-night cravings. It’s a quick trip, especially when you are driving the new INFINITI QX50.
3. The Edison Automat
If you are looking for healthier options while also catering to hearty eaters, then head over to our next spot. The Edison Automat offers tofu scrambles and quinoa bowls alongside the more standard breakfast options like steak and eggs. And if diner coffee isn’t your thing they’ve got iced coffee as well as nitro cold brew on tap. And their pancakes are so fluffy that they’ve decided to call them cloud cakes instead.
4. Menlo Park Diner
Our next spot takes the classic diner atmosphere to the next level. When you drive up you will be greeted by its classic retro diner facade. Locals rave about the friendly and attentive service they provide here. And the food isn’t bad either. In particular, the chocolate pancakes come highly recommended. From the checker-pattern tiles to the cozy booths with mini jukeboxes you’ll feel transported back in time.
5. Skylark Diner & Lounge
And last but certainly not least, Skylark Diner and Lounge offers elevated comfort food in a funky and futuristic dining setting. Their fresh-squeezed orange juice is a great addition to any breakfast. We highly recommend their stuffed french toast, eggs benedict, and the shrimp and grits. It’s a great weekend brunch spot too with plenty of cocktails to enjoy. Just remember to drink responsibly.
